Pianos are in my DNA
Grown up with the sound and smell of pianos, I have chosen the same trade as my father,
grandfather and great grandfather before me, so you might say that pianos are in my genes.
My name is Frank Benner and I'm a piano technician.
My
approach:
Judging an instrument for possibilities to repair or restore I think it is important
to keep the instrument in its original state. This means repairing where possible and
renewing when necessary, using techniques and parts as they have been used originally,
when the instrument was built. New techniques can be applied if it will improve the piano,
taking care not to make irreversible changes to the instrument.
